Pregnancy and Parenting Rights

Are you pregnant or have you recently given birth? Are you a new parent adjusting to life after fostering, adopting or becoming a stepparent? Macomb offers resources to support you under Title IX.

Title IX safeguards students who are pregnant, recently had a child, are lactating, recovering from medical conditions related to pregnancy or the childbirth process and more.  

Accommodations include leaving class for appointments or to visit the lactation room, changes in schedules or course sequence, time extensions for work and tests, changes in physical spaces and more.  

Working with Macomb’s Title IX coordinator, our faculty can help students who need accommodations for pregnancy or related conditions.
