ºÚÁϳԹÏ’s Health and Public Services Department is launching a customized mobile simulation unit designed to bring training directly to employers, reducing barriers related to transportation, scheduling and access to traditional training facilities.

Thanks to a $1 million gift from the GeneÌýHaasÌýFoundation, ºÚÁÏ³Ô¹Ï is making a new investment in the region’s workforce future. ºÚÁÏ³Ô¹Ï student, Ariana Dockham, has been named to the 2026 Coca-Cola Academic Team, an honor recognizing high-achieving community college students across the nation for outstanding academic performance, leadership and engagement in community service.

Gonko has 25 years of community college experience and will assume the duties of the presidency of Macomb on July 1, 2026.

ºÚÁϳԹÏ’s Board of Trustees has selected Lori M. Gonko, Ed.D., currently the interim president of Henry Ford College, as the next president of Macomb. Her appointment will become official pending contract negotiations, with the board expected to review and vote on the proposed contract at its April 15, 2026 meeting.

Macomb is one of 15 institutions nationwide to recertify its Leader College status for 2026. Leader Colleges retain the designation for a three-year term before undergoing reassessment.
