Six high school teams from Armada, Dakota and Lake Shore high schools, and three ºÚÁÏ³Ô¹Ï students participated in Macomb Innovates: The Next Big Thing, on April 22. The annual pitch competition is held by the college’s Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship (CIE).

ºÚÁÏ³Ô¹Ï will launch a part-time fire academy fall 2026, offering evening and weekend instruction while delivering the same 400 instructional hours, including flashover training, as the college’s traditional full time academy.

ºÚÁÏ³Ô¹Ï will launch a part-time fire academy beginning fall 2026 to help meet the growing demand for firefighters in Southeast Michigan. It will follow an evening and weekend format, with classroom instruction held Tuesday and Thursday evenings, and hands-on drills conducted every other Saturday.
